Critters

So we've had a snake living in our backyard for a few months now. Matt caught this picture of it the other day.It's a harmless garder snake that's pretty small.

It made me think of the time that I saw a frog in our backyard and it almost gave me a heart attack:
And, when I saw our friend Harry the Heron sitting outside in the wetlands.
This time of year we start to get coyotes in the wetlands next to us. They are nice and loud. In the spring, the frogs congregate in the wetlands and make a noise very much like a car alarm all night long. I'm pretty sure that the amount of wildlife around here will always amaze me.
