$2 Day at the Zoo

Since we have opted not to get a zoo pass this year, our last chance to visit the zoo before school starts was on their $2 Tuesday. Knowing that many families would be thinking the same thing, I decided to take the Max train to the zoo. I was very glad I did because I heard some people comment later that they waited an hour for the parking lot shuttle buses. However, we did our share of waiting in the huge line to get tickets. The admission tickets were only $1 if you took the train and the tickets to the Dinosaur exhibit or the Zoo train were $2 each that day. So we bought tickets for both. I figured that since I had made the effort to get all three boys there we might as well do everything and have lots of fun. It was very crowded, but the boys did a great job staying with me and we had a blast. We met up with my friend Heather and her son Kory and they even went through the dinosaur exhibit with us.

I loved this picture of Devan and the orangutan. It looks like they understand each other.

Aiden was determined to stand during the zoo train ride.

We got off the zoo train to play in Washington Park. I took this picture of the boys together and thought it would be fun to compare it to a picture Matt took exactly one year ago. Hunter certainly has changed in the last year.

We love getting off the train at the park, but you have to admit, it's a little bit of a hike down and then back up. When Masiey was Devyns age it wasn't as easy as it is now.
