A Work in Progress

Our Backyard has become the home-improvement project that has inspired a fair amount of teasing...so might as well make dig in my heels. Sorry Matt. Remember you love me.

So here is our backyard when we first moved in:

The lawn had some patchy areas because the soil was mostly clay.

So Matt decided to make two rather large holes in an effort to remove some of the clay:

The holes remained for a couple of months and filled with water whenever it rained, which is a lot because it's Oregon.

When I finally put my foot down, Matt spent the entire day hauling in dirt and using the rented rotatiller. (sp?) He ended up very tired and very dirty:
